Grayhm at 4 months

Baby Gray is so fun right now.  I am sure I said this before, but he laughs and smiles all the time.  If anyone so much as looks at him, he gets a huge grin on his face. he even laughs at our jokes, or when Mayson tries to get him to smile by saying, "milk." We are starting to have him sit up now, and he is enjoying this new look of the world.  We had him sit in the stroller seat for the first time, try out the bumbo chair, and Angie has had him sitting in the Exersaucer.  When he is laying down or reclined in his little chair, he tries to roll over all the time (he's about 95% there). He has fallen asleep in his crib and naturally rolls over and sleeps on his side.  When he went for his 4 month check up he was 15lbs, 10oz (53rd percentile), and 26.5 inches long (94th percentile).  He loves being in the baby carrier facing out so he can look around, and has been playing with lots of toys like Sophie the Giraffe and various rattles.  We think he is teething because he is drooling all the time and putting everything in his mouth to chew.  Next stop...trying some rice cereal solids...

Family Time

Can you tell we spend a lot of time on the couch?  Mayson and I had a discussion about marriage yesterday.  She checked out my ring, and then went to examine Keri's.  Then she decided that she will marry Baby Gray when he gets older.

Beat the Bridge

A couple of weeks ago we all participated in Beat the Bridge where we did the 4 mile walk with my co-workers to support Juvenile Diabetes. Gray and Mayson did a great job sitting in the double stroller and watching the crowds during the walk, but the grand finale was the diaper dash.  Mayson was in the 2 year-old category of runners who had to sprint across the football field at Husky Stadium.  As you can see by the pictures, there was a lot of sweat and tears involved.
Checking out the field

Devising a strategy

Psyching out the competition

Marching to the starting line

The tears start when she realizes that this is a solo race and Daddy is staying behind.

Tears turn to laughing when Daddy gives in and runs with her.

The triumphant finish. Tears of emotion.

12 Weeks Old

Okay, so even though the post says June, this is a picture from the end of April of Daddy and Gray at 3 months old.  I'm a little behind on blogging (two kids and back to work don't make for a lot of extra computer time).  But at three months, Gray is showing he is a big boy already.

Videos on the Go

I've realized that a lot of my pictures and videos are coming from my phone since we are on the go all the time.  Since I have been way behind on posting, these videos capture what has been going on the last couple of months.  First, Gray has become so interactive with us.  He smiles and laughs and talks all the time.  He seems to have a lot to say, and if anyone smiles at him he always smiles back!  Next, since I returned to work we have been spending a lot more time in the car commuting.  We have been having a lot of fun listening to "Mayson Music" and Mayson has found a new favorite song called "Little Liza Jane."  She begs to listen in the car and loves singing along.  Other days she may not be so happy.  Caution: the last video is very sad, but I couldn't resist posting it because it is so cute too.  Don't we all just feel like crying sometimes and don't know why?

Thank You

We want to thank everyone for being with us in Juneau and being such a loving, supportive family.
Plus, thanks Aunt Tara for spoiling Mayson and turning her into a fairy princess!

Sunny Juneau adventures

We were so thankful to be able to spend time with family and enjoy sunny Juneau days.

Juneau Family

We were so sad to say goodbye to Grandma Darlene.  We went to Juneau to mourn her loss and be with Grandpa Loren and our family in Juneau.  Grandpa loved meeting Gray and watching Mayson run around like a big girl.  We are so sad that Darlene couldn't be with us.
