All In a day

These two are so funny/crazy. We went to work in the library today and they turned a peaceful, quiet place into chaos. They took out all the games, dropped every snack item on the newly shampooed carpet, and Gray was yelling his usual, alternating between "can you help me?" and "I can do it!" I will try to record it next time since it is all he yells at us each day. I love that his hand is down his pants at the same time he is dropping his Cheerios.

Long Evenings

We had a great morning at the zoo! Gray loves animals and was so so excited to see the jaguar, hippos, and gorillas. Mayson touched a snake and Gray touched a tortoise! I love visiting that zoo, even if I had to drag them across it through fighting and tears (theirs this time, not mine).
I love the long, warm, light filled evenings. We did a kid version of celebrating our anniversary and brought a pizza picnic to the park to play and watch Rainier. Beautiful!

Siblings

This is going to be an interesting summer with these two. We are definitely now at the age where they love playing with each other but also love to antagonize each other. They had a blast dumping water over each other all evening. Gray follows everything that Mayson does and she loves the power that comes with it!

Father's Day Solstice

Special treat to stay up late and watch the sunset during the Solstice and celebrate Dad! Loved Salt Creek and the Olympics--next year we need to stay a week!

Lake Crescent

Amazing day trip from Salt Creek to Lake Crescent. Beautiful hike skirting the north side of the lake, followed by fun swimming and picnic on the east side. Great ice cream stop on the way back.

Camping Begins: Salt Creek

Drive to the Olympic Penninsula and the Salt Creek Campground. Long drive but time for the playground and some Mac & Cheese.

Summer Day One

Summer officially launched! Wonderful feeling of the first sleep-in, morning cartoons, pj's, playing on the floor by the sunny window. Got to kick it off with a visit from Andrea and an outing to pick strawberries at Remlinger Farms. Awesome nap time had by all and dinner with Grandpa before a late bedtime. So grateful for no schedule!
